Fab place to have a drink and a chat in Seaton. Something a little bit different. And a brilliant range of local gins if you're not an ale drinker.
Brilliant place, lovely guy, great beers... What's not to like. Well done Gary, hope you go from strength to strength. No phones, No music. No slot machines. No TV, just a great atmosphere and great beers and ciders.
Great Hosts, Great Real Ales and Cider. Great booze food ( especially the beetroot pickled eggs. Great conversations with some great people. Just Great!
The Hat is just great. Friendly, lively, with a fabulous variety of beers, ciders, and gins. And some great snacks too. Not to mention that they love the dog!
Well, what a find, this unusual pub has got to be the ultimate oasis.....!The owner has created an atmosphere of fun, conversation and relaxation.....Instead of an addictive computerised thieving machine clattering away and a similarly addictive mind numbing device that is rarely used as a phone, there is connect 4, chess, cards, shove halfpenny with real halfpennies, trivial pursuit and more....There are 4 real ales and 4 real ciders served straight from the casks which are stored in the old cold room. There is no fizzy beer or lager and no music....The beer is absolutely beautiful, as were the large bowl of mixed olives and great cheese.....and me wife loved the veggie scotch egg....huge and NOT dry....I have only just met this place, what I mean is, is that I am not an old friend of the owner or something, this is a totally genuine review from me as a new customer....We live 15 miles away, well worth the drive, and HELLO to me new friend there, "Dave The Hat".....!
