Eat here often, from fabulous all day breakfast, Curry's casseroles, fish and chips and a lot more, very friendly and good prices. Highly recommended
The battered hake was ,sad to say , the worst form of fish and chips I ever had. The fish had freezer burn and was cooked from either part or fully frozen. No lemon slice was given to take away the horrible fishiness. Though gritting teeth polite , the curtness of the waitress was palpable. We wanted our overseas guests to enjoy fish and chips , but sadly , not to be at Hughsies
Very nicely cooked eggs, but no black pudding. Friendly staff, admittedly not always smiley, but when she did it was worth the wait.
The wife and I have been coming here for lunch for over ten years now and we keep on coming back, The menu has changed as of late and gone is the typical beef burger and now there is a really tasty Steak & kidney pudding that is huge and the choice is yours as to how you have your potato. We would always recommend hughie's as one of the best places to eat in Seaton.The Staff are always polite and always helpful and nothing is to much trouble.
