Lovely tranquil setting. Spotted Lapwing, Teal, Shelduck to name a few. In the fields beyond there were Roe deer.
There was decent parking and we went iJust after a cold rain so the lake was frozen over looked cool. They have nice walks that had concrete paths and dirt paths that could could walk on and a nice coverd observing area. Only bad thing it only takes 30 mins to walk around so it would be nice if it connected to other trals.
Beautiful. Hides really well made. Volunteers very friendly and ready to make you a well timed cuppa. Get the tram here for a really enjoyable day out, bring your binoculars. My kids loved it.
Great place, we even saw a woodpecker for the first time here along with a Robbin eating out of someone's hand. It's a must visit if your in the area!
Lovely area even if you just want a walk, if your not interested in birds, educational for children, but close supervision advised as could easily slip into one of the wildlife ponds, fairly flat ground for disabled, no cafe but small but serving snacks and hot drinks.
