Great place to unwind and relax. Clean and reliable
Basic, cheap and cheerful site. Loads of space and laid back owners. Walking over one field and down the cliff footpath for a dip in the sea is great. The Fountain Head Inn at the bottom of the hill has good food and drink, walking back up hill afterwards is hard work.Check the map before arrival especially if towing. No directions on website so we got stuck on the 1 in 5 hill between The Fountain Head and the site. (mostly our own fault for not planning our trip properly, don't copy us). However the site owner was very helpful with his tractor to help us get moving again. Not enough toilets, only 1 in the gents always a queue in the mornings.
Very basic, good setting, short walk to a great pub, long walk to beach but worth it. Cheap as chips to pitch a tent, good facilities, no kids play area, just fields, great for exploring and getting the grey matter working. Highly recommend if you like not a lot from a campsite. If you want entertainment try elsewhere..
It is just caravans parked in a farmer's field. Make sure you bring one pound coins with you, as the electricity is on the meter. Vans are nice though. Lots of flies on the summer being so close to the farm.
Great easy going campsite. Clean toilet and washing facilities. Great pub (The Fountain Head) 10 mins walk for lovely homemade food and drink. 12-2pm for food at lunch time.It was a bit windy when we went but I guess that is to be expected when by the coast and up on the cliffs.All the Ales in the pub are local brewed and I can confirm are all lovely pale ales.
